I have had knee pain for a while now. Now, starting last week, my whole body aches. Could it be arthritis?

I called the doctor(Wednesday) about my knee pain, and they have yet to call back as they said they would. I was talking to my mother, and she said it might be RA, as a wild guess, with my joints aching. Does anyone know what it could be?
I have pain in my ankles, knees, hips, lower back, shoulder, elbows, and wrists.
