I’ve been dealing with Arthritis pain ever since I was a child. This winter has been really getting to me. Advil doesn’t help anymore and I’m in constant pain in my back, hips and hands. I have tried everything over the counter and many tips on coping with arthritis pain. But nothing is relieving the pain this winter.
Tomorrow I am going to the doctors. I want to see if there is medication for my condition that is affective and a non-narcotic. Also I want to try something that doesn’t take WEEKS to start taking effect.
I’ve been doing research and the medication I came across is called Tramadol. Does this work for people with moderate to severe arthritis? Have you ever taken this medication?
I hate taking medications and I’m concerned about side affects and allergic reactions. I do need to do something. I DO NOT want to take narcotics!!!
Is it okay to tell the doctor about researching different medications and asking to try Tramadol?

Tramadol or ultram may work for some arthritis,but Tramadol is a synthetic partial narcotic.It can be addicting.I have a cousin addicted to it now.Gets withdrawals and everything.I suggest you do more research and tell your doctor you would like to try something non-narcotic.I know celebrex has somewhat of a reputation for bad side effects…but it is important to remember,most are still rare…but it woked well for some member of my family.I think vioxx was the one you have to worry about.Just talk to doctor.Thats what they get paid for.I will say that TRAMADOL is the safest of all opiods.Studies show paitence were less likely to become dependant on tramadol than hydrocodone.But it was only a difference of 2 to 3%
Fish oil is supposed to help for the pain.
Sorry. I think There is no medicine for RA, OA, H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for EAR ACHE, Back ache and almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV & COMPUTER SOMETIMES, Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy, BODY CONSTITUTION etc are their causes.
