I’m 19, and recently have had pain in my left hip. It hurts when I work out, when I’m relaxing, or when I’m standing. It started about 4 months ago, and hasn’t left me alone, since. What could this be? Not sure if this means anything, but both my father and grandfather have had their hips replaced for arthritis.
it’s not a weight or lack of excercise problem, as I’m in great shape and am in the infantry.

My cousin was diagnosed with avascular necrosis of the hip, a well-documented yet mysterious orthopaedic condition in which normal blood flow to the hip’s femoral head is interrupted. Over time, without an adequate blood supply, the femoral head—the “ball” that fits into the hip’s “socket”—collapses, and severe arthritis of the hip joint follows. I don’t know if this is your problem but it was for her and she was only 19.at the time So get it checked out. She had a laproscropic procedure and she’s as good as new fixed it before it got worse. Hopefully that’s not your problem.
