Get the bone scan for it may show something that was not found on the MRI. Also ask for another referral to a physical therapist. Have them look at your feet and legs to see if there is any leg length discrepitancy or unusual foot abnormalities. Then take a look at the opposite side for any muscular irregularities. The body doesn't just send off pain patterns for nothing. There has to be a reason for this complaint. As for pain control use ice for fifteen to twenty minutes out of an hour. If you get a referral to therapy ask them to perform an ice massage at the end of the session and see how much relief that gives you. They give very strong relief. Also try a viscoelastic cover for your mattress. This will take up much of the pressure on the hip. Lastly an exercise program should be initiated under the care of a therapist. I would give you exercises but since I cannot see the results of such a program it would be better to be with someone directly there.
