Often, the symptoms of arthritis will be worst in the morning or after having been immobile for an extended period of time.

Signs

When walking, there could be a grinding sensation, indicating arthritis in the hip. The Mayo Clinic also cites tenderness in the joint area from a light application of pressure as another warning sign.
