After a very active lifestyle, and a very vigorous gym membership, for the last two years I have been unable to participate in two of my favourite exercises – swimming and golf.
To be able to play a round of golf, especially early on a summer morning, was one of my favourite pastimes. The peace and quiet, broken wonderfully by the occasional drumming of a woodpecker, or the sweet sound of my club connecting with the ball as it then arched up the fairway, was so peaceful in my stress-laden life.
Being able to swim leisurely for half an hour or so in the pool, or better still on some warm Caribbean sea, was another of those unforgettable pleasures.
But for the last two years, those pleasures have been but a distant memory. Why? – due to me getting arthritis in a finger of both hands. The pain on striking the ball was excruciating, and trying to draw my hands through the water in my favourite Breast Stroke was just unbearable.
If you were to come down to my local swimming pool most mornings nowadays, you can watch me (if you have nothing better to do) swim 30 to 40 lengths at a time (that’s about 3/4 of a mile). And come the Spring, you will see me down the local golf course again.
How come? Have I had a body transplant?
No, I have done a lot of research on how chronic illnesses like arthritis and diabetes can actually be reversed through natural means, and so I decided to do some of my own personal investigating.
I must say here that I am not a medical man, but I am now in control of my own body, and it would seem that most of these illnesses are due to a build up of toxins in the body. Find ways of washing these away using natural foods, and it would seem that the root cause of many of today’s lifestyle destroying illnesses can be reversed in this manner.
So what would seem to be the problem with the medical profession? Why do they not seem to be able to come up with ‘cures’ but just come up with ways of attacking the symptoms.
At the risk of seeming confrontational, did you know that the 4th biggest killer these days happens to be from correctly applied prescription drugs? All that my Doctor prescribed for my arthritic pain was painkillers – and have you seen what damage pain killers can do to your body?
All the medical profession seem to want to do is offer a pill to control the symptoms (i.e. pain) but not a cure.
So, how have I seemingly managed to do what the medical profession seems incapable of doing – and that is to reverse my arthritic pains and symptoms?
Four natural remedies:-
Take regular exercise (where possible due to any discomfort) Cut out as much ‘junk’ food from your diet Reduce the intake of dairy products and red meat. Increase my daily fruit intake to over 12 portions a dayWell, the first three are fairly easy to do (with a bit of will-power) but who can afford that much fruit daily. And where can you get good quality fruit that was picked when ripe, not picked green then gassed to look nice and coated in poisonous insecticides?
After spending a fortune on a juicing machine ((now consigned to the garage) I now regularly consume the premier range of acai blend fruit juices. Just two small shots taken twice a day actually gives me all the antioxidant power of 12 -13 portions of fresh fruit, for a fraction of what it would cost me in suspect quality fruit from my local supermarket. And it’s loaded with healthy natural oils and low in sugar (ideal for diabetics).
So, with some small changes in diet and lifestyle, and a quality fruit juice (and make sure it is quality – not some sugar-stuffed substitute), I am very confident that you should be able to achieve the same results as me. But don’t expect some miraculous overnight recovery. Natural food products are not as fast reacting as their synthetic prescriptive counterparts – but at least they won’t kill you.
