Running is one form of knee exercise that can help arthritis knee pain and strengthen knee joints. An interesting study was done in Austria comparing MRI’s of marathon runners in 1997 at a ten year interval. What they found was marathon runners who continued to run had no further knee damage. As you all know I am a big fan of natural healing, therefore I believe walking or running can be a form of knee exercise that will nourish the knee joints and cartilage and prevent further deterioration. This article is very interesting and blows the theory of doing gentle knee exercises.
